In order to be succesful with a Raw Foods lifestyle it is important to have the right equipment. If you don't already own these, you will want to invest in them right away:

1) Dehydrator with temperature control: Excalibur makes the best ones. If you are serious about raw food buy the large, 9 tray one. It is so much easier to make things in large batches. They last for weeks. And it is less work for you in the long run. Don't buy a circular dehydrator.

2) High speed blender: Such as Vitamix, or Blendtec. Both are excellent choices. Forget about the cheaper, regular household blenders. You cannot make the essential raw food recipes in them that you will really need. Many people try and get frustrated. Or they burn out their blenders. Just take the plunge and invest....

3) Quality juicer: There are many good juicers on the market. We own a Green Power Juicer. It gives a very high quality juice but is a lot of work to clean. Many people like the Champion juicer. It is VERY easy to clean, but personally not my favorite. Other options might be: Samson, Green Star, and others.

4) Food processor: Any well functioning food processors will do: Cuisinart, Kitchen Aid, Braun, Robot Coupe, etc.

Additional Equipment to consider:

1) Lotus Food sanitizer: An amazing device that oxygenates your fruits, nuts, seeds, grains or veggies. It neutralizes bacterias, fungus and molds. Food will stay fresher, longer. And grains and seeds will sprout much better.

2) Mandoline Slicer or vegetable spiralizer: These are invaluable for making "raw noodles" out of zuchini squash. A satisfying pasta substitute.

Let us know of any other valuable raw food equipment you have found.
